Tyvek is an incredible lightweight and waterproof material or backpacking and other wilderness adventures. Using Tyvek as a groundsheet is a common hack in the through-hiking backpack community. A printed Tyvek Adventure Groundsheet (TAG), provides great opportunities to enhance your adventures with a colorful map of the trail or your custom photos! As a bonus, you can write on our TAGs with a permanent marker, providing opportunities for you to record your progress on the trail, get signatures from fellow hikers and trail angels, and make notes about your wilderness experiences.
Our TAGs are 90 x 36 inches (7.5 x 3 feet), which is a great size for a ground sheet for almsot all 1-person tents or for tentless "cowboy camping" with plenty of room. Our TAGs have a design that allows the sheet to be reduced to sizes between the full size and 78 x 30 inces (6.5 x 2.5 feet) for backpackers who are conscious or do not need the full height or width.
Our standard TAG collection consists of realistic maps of popular through-hiking trails, backpacking trails, bikepacking and bike touring routes, kayaking & canoeing rivers, and national parks. Each map is generated from USGS satellite images with careful delineation of the trail, route, or river along with labels for important wilderness features such as mountain passes. Most TAGs include an elevation profile of the trail, route, or river, and river maps include a river width profile. If our standard TAG collection does not include your favorite trail, route or river, contact us and we can create a new map for your TAG!
We also provide custom printed TAGs based on your photos! We can print one high-resolution photo at 84 x 30 inches (7 x 2.5 feet), and we have montage templates that can accommodate multiple smaller photos. Bring a customized TAG on the trail to remind you of your friends and family, a beloved pet, a favorite location, or anything that inspires you.
Are you searching for a gift for a through-hiker or wilderness adventurer? A custom printed TAG with one or more of your photos can be a very supportive gift! Writing messages and signing the TAG can be a very inspirational way to help your wilderness adventurer get through difficult times on the trail, route, or river, and to remind your adventurous friend about the wonderful support waiting at home.
The Tyvek Adventure Groundsheet collection will be available soon. We started our web site on November 1, 2026 and we need some time to further develop this web site. We intend to have our first offerings available for the 2026 Christmas season and the 2027 through-hiking and wilderness adventure season.
Meanwhile, please contact us at contact@tagteamprint.com for your suggestions and to learn more details.
